About Piano Teacher, Suzuki Sue
Piano teacher, Sue Lorimier has been working with students one-on-one and in groups for over 20 years. She received her Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance and Graduate Degree in Piano Chamber Music from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After completing her university studies, Sue began studying and teaching the Suzuki approach to music teaching.
Suzuki Training
She is a registered Suzuki piano teacher and is an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Dr. Suzuki speaks of creating “life-long learners”. As a Suzuki student, a Suzuki teacher, and a Suzuki parent to two daughters, Sue seeks always to be a life-long learner.
Tampa Studio
Currently, she teaches in Tampa, Florida and specializes in working with very young children and children with special needs. Outside of studio teaching, Sue has worked extensively as a chamber musician and accompanist.
Where did Suzuki Sue come from?
Years ago, several young students started calling Sue “SuzukiSue” and the name stuck. Sue strives to create a fun environment filled with laughter, games, and music making. As Dr Suzuki said, “man is the son of his environment”. The piano studio is a warm, friendly place to learn and share the joy of music.
